Volunteer Opportunities

The MPAEF is a volunteer, parent-led organization. There are many ways to support our excellent schools beyond making a monetary donation. We are always looking for help and would love more parents and community members to get involved!  There are many different opportunities available for interested parents that are flexible and rewarding.  Below is more information about the various volunteer roles we recruit for annually.

Join our Board of Directors

Our board is made up of 50+ district parents with representatives from each of the four MPCSD schools:  Encinal, Laurel, Oak Knoll and Hillview.  All board members contribute a wide and varied range of skills relevant to running an effective and efficient 501(c)(3) non-profit fundraising organization. 

Volunteer for our Spring Auction and Event

This is our largest fundraising event of the year and requires hundreds of hours of parent power, for jobs big and small. We'll take any minute you can offer! Our needs vary from soliciting donations that are included in the auction to assisting with the decor and set-up of the event. This event takes place in early March of each school year.

Volunteer for the Schoolhouse Rocks 5K Run & Festival

Our wonderful community 5k Run/Walk and Festival is growing and more fun than ever! The day of the event requires many volunteers to help monitor the race course and staff the fun festival activities.  This event takes place in late May of each school year.
